His tattoo translates to ‘faggot’. WHY

Because i am one.

…do you speak or have any connection to Arabic? Can I wonder that out loud?

No I don’t. What i do have though is a connection to every gay male all over the world who has had this word, or something very similar, yelled at them from a car, or outside a club on the street, or walking home holding their boyfriends hand, or while being physically assaulted, with an intention to hurt and insult. By having this word tattooed on me, it means i OWN the word, ALL the words homophobes wanna use. I no longer find them insulting, therefore i can’t be insulted by them. I chose arabic, not because I’m a ‘stupid white male’ or because ‘i think its pretty’ but because i wanted it on me with as much hate as possible, to really drive home the point of getting it in the first place. I’m pretty sure the homophobe who uses this word on someone in Kuwait is literally spitting angry, hateful venom of the worst possible kind. I’ve had many arabs email me telling me that this word means ‘gay, but in a very insulting way’, so i chose the perfect word. This tattoo is for me, for them, and for you too @clockenfrau if you happen to be a faggot that’s ever experienced homophobia.

lmao

"We’re a family now. I am an arbiter of taste, and people think that I have the ability to make things cool—or if I’m doing it, it should be cool. And I feel that this stuff’s starting to be cool. And that feels good to me. Because I don’t like walking around with people thinking I’m doing uncool shit, because there’s nothing I’m doing that’s uncool. It’s all innovative. You just might not understand it yet. But it’s cool. Family is super cool. Going home to one girl every night is super cool. Just going home and getting on the floor and playing with your child is super cool. Not wearing a red leather jacket, and just looking like a dad and shit, is like super cool. Having someone that I can call Mom again. That shit is super cool."
